Wesley Youth Ministry (YM) was formed in 2003 after the various youth departments of Wesley Methodist Church merged together. It was done with the intention of pooling resources and giving the youths in Wesley a common identity in order to foster a greater sense of unity and belonging.

Our Vision is, “To bring up a generation of youths whose lives are transformed for Christ.”

Our Theme Verse is based on Ephesians 4:13 - “To reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

YM is built on the following Foundational Principles:

• Atmosphere of Love – To create an atmosphere of unconditional love where every youth can belong to, and feel safe and accepted to grow emotionally and spiritually
• Biblical Group Image – Expectancy and excitement of what God is doing and wants to do in the life of the youth and the YSG
• Consistent Contacting – Forging relationships of trust and openness among the leaders and the youths in the group through consistent contact
• Prayer Dependence – Building a relationship with God through dependence on prayer
• Proper Concept of Christ – Correct theology about Christ and His salvation
• Effective Communication of the Word – Leaders communicating the Word in a way that is relevant and challenging to the youths
