Please read the Solemnisation or Blessing of Marriage guidelines before submitting the Wedding Application Form and Wedding Reception Form. 
  1. Booking of the Church Sanctuary for weddings is only for members of Wesley Methodist Church, Singapore.
  2. Either the bride or the groom must be a member of Wesley Methodist Church, Singapore. Both the bride and groom must be Christian.
  3. The Church will only begin accepting and processing wedding applications on 1 March for the next calendar year.
  4. The cut-off dates for wedding applications will be 4 months prior to wedding date.
  5. Wedding application is processed on a first come, first served basis once the wedding calendar is opened.
  6. Applicants must complete the Marriage Preparation Course (MPC) before Solemnisation or Blessing of Marriage.
  7. Only Methodist Pastors are permitted to conduct weddings held at the Church. Applicants are strongly encouraged to have their wedding conducted by Wesley Pastors.
  8. Wedding shall be held only on Saturday.
  9. The time slots for Weddings are: 10.00am to 12noon or 2.00pm to 4pm.
  10. Applicants will have one or more couple sessions with their Officiating Pastor; and a briefing session with the Events team.
  11. A Wedding rehearsal will be scheduled in the same week of the wedding date.

Marriage Preparation

Marriage Preparation Course

The course offers couples the opportunity to explore their readiness for marriage and aims to prepare them for Christian marriage. Topics covered include:

  • Understanding God’s vision for marriage
  • In-depth discussion of biblical principles for marriages
  • Discovering and understanding personality differences
  • Managing communication and conflicts
  • Family planning
  • Managing finances

For better experiential learning and group participation, the course offers topical sharing by speakers followed by small group discussion.

Due to limited trained facilitators, we regret to inform you that only members of Wesley Methodist Church (WMC) and members who have fixed wedding date have the first priority.

Cost:

  • $100 per couple (Members of Wesley Methodist Church. If one member of the couple is a Wesley member, the registration is considered as a registration of a Wesley member)
  • $120 per couple (Non-members)

(Class size is limited. Please register early)

Please take note:

  1. Couples intending to be married at Wesley are strongly encouraged to attend. In the event that couples are unable to attend Wesley's MPC, they may consider attending the MPC conducted by other Methodist churches, EMCC, Alpha Singapore or Focus on the Family.
  2. Couples who register should plan their wedding within a year.
  3. This is strictly a face-to-face course.
  4. Punctuality is a must. If you are late for more than 15 minutes, you will be considered absent.
  5. Only participants who fulfil the requirements of the course will receive the Letter of Completion

Registration opens for members of Wesley Methodist Church: 25th February – 24th March 2024 (priority). Closing date: 24 March 2024 (Sun).

Registrations received between 25th March – 3rd April 2024 will be awarded (if there are still vacancies) on a first-come-first-serve basis, regardless of membership.

Any registration and payment from non-WMC members that is submitted before 25th March 2024 will not be valid. We will refund any payment from non-WMC member if no vacancies are available. WMC members who were unable to secure a seat in the current run would be deferred to the next run.

Please take note:

  1. Attendance for the session on 6th Apr 2024 is compulsory as that session comprises three topics.
  2. If you miss more than one session on either 11th Apr, 18th Apr, or 25th Apr, you will be taken out of the cohort. There would be no replacement for the missed session.
